Mira Costa also played over the weekend in the Golden State Classic, a tennis tournament featuring the best teams from California and Hawaii, and won by Peninsula. - First round defeated Saratoga 7-0. In singles, Taylor Johnson won 6-0 and 6-0; Amy Gaal won 6-1 and 6-1; Isabelle Lau won 6-3 and 7-5; Elena Olsen won 6-2 and 6-4. In doubles, Isabella Draskovic/Katarina Draskovic won 6-1 and 6-1; Madi Giese/Jackie Soliman won 7-6(6) and 6-1; and Lindsey Giese/Lena Nagy won 6-2 and 6-2.
- Second round lost to Menlo 3-4. In singles, Taylor Johnson won 6-0 and 6-2; and Amy Gaal won 6-2, 2-6 and 10-8. In doubles, Isabella Draskovic/Katarina Draskovic won 6-2 and 6-1.
- Third round defeated Dana Hills 5-2. In singles, Taylor Johnson won 6-3 and 6-1; Amy Gaal won 7-5 and 6-0. In doubles, Isabella Draskovic/Katarina Draskovic won 6-0 and 6-1; Madi Giese/Jackie Soliman won 6-2 and 6-2; and Lindsey Giese/Lena Nagy won 6-4 and 6-3.
- And, in the 5th place match, defeated Saint Ignatius, the No. 2 ranked team in Northern California, 7-0. In singles, Taylor Johnson won 6-0 and 6-3; Amy Gaal won 3-6, 6-3 and 10-7; Isabelle Lau won 3-6, 6-2 and 10-4; Drew Waller won 6-1 and 6-3.
