Alexis Camarena had 17 points, four assists and seven steals but the Banning girls basketball team lost to South Gate 43-36 in the second round of the Carson Tournament on Tuesday.
Cassandra Raya added 11 points for Banning (1-1), which takes on Compton in the consolation bracket on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
