The CIF Southern Section preseason football poll was released today, and five South Bay teams are ranked in the Western Division.
Reigning Bay League and Western Division champion Palos Verdes is No. 1, with West Torrance No. 3, North Torrance No. 5, Redondo No. 6 and El Segundo No. 9.
Surprisingly, Serra is not ranked in the loaded Pac-5 Division, where Corona Centennial is ranked first, St. John Bosco second, Bishop Amat third, Santa Margarita fourth and Mater Dei fifth.
